本书简介
A godly man isn’t revealed by what he writes or says but by how he lives. Furthermore, his public life is governed by how he lives privately, in the sight of God. What advice and counsel did Watson give to his generation, and leave for us, concerning “visible” Christians? What does the world see, what does the church see, that depicts a true Christian? What are his spiritual delights?
In this book Thomas Watson offers wise counsel that is so needed in our generation, teaching us how to live as “visible” true Christians in the world and in the Church.
One of the keys for Watson was the practice of Christian meditation, on which he shares the nature of meditation, the “how to” of meditation, and the right objects of this spiritual discipline. He then models meditation by offering meditations grounded in the Scriptures, teaching us how to have true fellowship with God.
